Morning session

It was a strong session for rookie Trident driver Gabriel Bortoleto, one of only two drivers to set a time in the 1.29s. It was tight in the midfield as just seven-hundreds separated third through sixth on the leaderboard.

The session was halted briefly for two red flags incidents during the morning session. Taylor Barnard went off at Turn 10 and Roberto Fari, driving for ART Grand Prix, beached his car into Turn 8.

  1. Gabriel Bortoleto (Trident) – 1.29.554
  2. Josep Maria Marti (Campos Racing) – 1.29.927
  3. Zak O’Sullivan (Prema Racing) – 1.30.025
  4. Kaylen Frederick (ART Grand Prix) – 1.30.040
  5. Oliver Goethe (Trident) – 1.30.046
  6. Leonardo Fornaroli (Trident) – 1.30.090

  9. Franco Colapinto (MP Motorsport) – 1.30.206
  10. Taylor Barnard (Jenzer Motorsport) – 1.30.228

Afternoon session

It was a close battle between the top ten as they were separated by just four-tenths of a second. Mini once again impressed in the Hitech as the Prema keeps up their consistency having all three drivers finish in the top six.

Gabriele Mini continues to have eventful testing days, after once again ending up in the barrier at Turn 10 like on day one, while also posting the second fasting time. Barnard struggled once again as he spun into the gravel at Turn 8, which resulted in a third red flag of the day.

  1. Josep Maria Marti (Campos Racing) – 1.31.324
  2. Gabriele Mini (Hitech Grand Prix) – 1.31.442
  3. Paul Aron (Prema Racing) – 1.31.460
  4. Dino Beganovic (Prema Racing) – 1.31.472
  5. Leonardo Fornaroli (Trident) – 1.31.482
  6. Zak O’Sullivan (Prema Racing) – 1.31.511
  7. Oliver Goethe (Trident) – 1.31.548
  8. Reece Ushijima (Hitech Grand Prix) – 1.31.641
  9. Kaylen Frederick (ART Grand Prix) – 1.31.739
  10. Gabriel Bortoleto (Trident) – 1.31.747

As the third and final day of F3 testing takes place tomorrow, each driver will be looking to squeeze out any remaining potential from the car as they look to impress their prospective team. Check back on Friday for a recap of Day 3 testing.
