Connor Hall leads ARCA Testing Friday

The 2020 ARCA Menards Racing Series season is upon us and cars were on the track for the first time on Friday, during the annual open testing period.

With the new combination of the East and West tours, the test saw 37 cars and drivers turn laps at the famed asphalt superspeedway.

At the end of the day, which was slightly shortened by rain, Chad Bryant Racing’s Connor Hall was the fastest, turning 40 laps throughout the day with a quick time of 49.711.

Chad Bryant’s team had something smooth going for them all day, as they also owned the test’s third quickest time in Jacob Heafner’s 49.767.

Three other pairs of teammates also found themselves inside the top 10.

Ronnie Osmer and Andy Seuss ran second and sixth, respectively, for Our Motorsports, while Joe Gibbs Racing’s Ty Gibbs and Riley Herbst were fourth and seventh.

The brother-sister combination of Tristan Van Wieringen and Dominique Van Wieringen rounded out the top 10 for Rette Jones Racing.

Just outside the top 10 was World of Outlaws Sprint Car star David Gravel, who will enter the 2020 ARCA race at Daytona with KBR Development.
