Nico Rosberg stated that he believes Lewis Hamilton has some weaknesses which his rivals have to try and exploit. The 2016 Formula 1 champion pointed out that Hamilton’s “inconsistency” is his main weakness.
Nico Rosberg points out Lewis Hamilton’s weakness
Rosberg, who was Hamilton’s teammate/rival at Mercedes between 2013 and 2016, said that Ferrari‘s Sebastian Vettel and Hamilton’s colleague Valtteri Bottas need to take advantage of these moments that the Stevenage-born driver has. “If you’re able to pounce in those periods and really make the most of it, you can keep him down for a while longer.
“You have to make the most of it absolutely and Sebastian (Vettel) did that pretty well last year actually. That’s what Valtteri (Bottas) needs to try, he needs to make the most of that.”
“Lewis is unbelievably fast”
Also, Rosberg recognized that when the Briton is at his best, it is impossible to beat him. “When Lewis has his good weekends he is almost unbeatable because he is just unbelievably fast.”
The 2018 F1 season kicks off the coming weekend with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne (March 23-25 2018).
