Snoop Dogg To Join Peacock As Analyst For NBA Broadcast

Snoop Dogg To Join Peacock As Analyst For NBA Broadcast

The NBA’s January 5 broadcast on Peacock will get a third voice on commentary, as according to Andrew Marchand of The Athletic, rapper and actor Snoop Dogg is set to join Terry Gannon and Reggie Miller for the broadcast of the Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors.

According to Marchand, Snoop (real name Calvin Broadus Jr.) will join the broadcast at the Intuit Dome for the second half after watching the first half from the stands, but will be a part of the pregame meetings with Gannon and Miller.

A Busy Sports Season For Snoop Dogg

The NBA broadcast is just the latest in what will be a busy couple of months for the rapper.  On Christmas Day, he is set to be a part of Netflix’s NFL broadcast between the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions with “Snoop’s Holiday Halftime Party.”  Grammy Award-winning country artist Lainey Wilson, and EJAE, Rei Ami, and and Audrey Nuna (the voices behind the smash Netflix hit KPop Demon Hunters) are scheduled to join him, along with a number of surprise guests.

In addition, Snoop will once again be a part of NBC and Peacock’s Olympics coverage as a correspondent from the Milan-Cortina Winter Games, which begin with opening ceremonies on February 6.

According to the press release, the rapper will “explore northern Italy, from the vibrant streets of Milan to the breathtaking Dolomites, providing his unique perspective to viewers during NBCUniversal’s Winter Olympic primetime coverage.”

This will be Snoop’s second Olympiad in the role, after what was widely called great work in the Paris summer games in 2024.

The rapper has also appeared during NBC’s Sunday Night Football broadcasts, and is the title sponsor this year of college football’s Arizona Bowl, in which the Fresno State Bulldogs will take on the Miami (Ohio) RedHawks on December 27.
