Fox Sports almost got the perfect Milwaukee Brewers game to televise nationally. As it turns out, though, they had to settle for the day after. On Friday night, Brewers ace Jacob Misiorowski threw the most impressive game in Major League Baseball this season, and the single-best game in franchise history.
Facing the Philadelphia Phillies, Misiorowski threw a complete game shutout on just 95 pitches. What was most impressive, though, was that he faced the minimum, did not walk a single batter, and notched 15 strikeouts.
On Saturday, Fox Sports was in Milwaukee to televise the second game of the series, and they got to catch up with the young phenom the day after his historic start.
Fox Sports gets humble response from Brewers star Jacob Misiorowski

On Saturday, during the Brewers-Phillies game, Misiorowski was interviewed by MLB on Fox’s Ken Rosenthal regarding his performance on Friday.

Rosenthal first asked him what he would remember the most about his historic performance, and he said, “Oh you know, just dominating the strike zone, and the guys behind me having my back and, you know, putting up runs. It was a lot of fun.”
Not only did Misiorowski strike out 15 batters, not a single Phillies hitter got to a three-ball count all night.
Rosenthal then asked him how is confidence has changed now that he knows he can throw a complete game. Misiorowski answered, “I don’t think it changes anything. It’s still going out there and competing as hard as I can for seven [innings] and hoping for more. If it comes down to it, I can get eight or I can get nine, but I’m really hoping for seven.”
In short, Misiorowski’s goal every time he takes the mound is to make it through seven innings. This was something he struggled with in 2025 and early this season. Lately, though, he has been able to keep his pitch counts down enough where he consistently goes 6-7 innings every time out.
Finally, Rosenthal asked him how he felt the morning after the start, and he said, “The exact same. Felt like another day. I texted my fiancee just like any other day.”
Misiorowski is now 8-2 on the season following Friday’s win. He leads the Major Leagues in ERA (1.34), WHIP (0.74), and strikeouts (131).
If the season were to end today, he would be a very strong candidate to win the National League Cy Young Award.
