New Heights: Bears QB Caleb Williams makes bold guarantee to Kelce brothers

The popular “New Heights” podcast that is posted by Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce is one of the most well-known and insightful sports shows out there. Jason, a future Pro Football Hall of Famer, played center for the Philadelphia Eagles for years. Travis, another future Pro Football Hall of Famer, is currently playing tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Their podcast, which covers a variety of pop-culture topics, focuses primarily on sports and gives fans great insight into many aspects of football. Due to their connections throughout the NFL, they often are able to land some high-profile guests.

Recently, they invited Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams onto their show to talk about his latest huge deal.

Fans of the popular video game “Madden” know by now that Williams is on the cover of this year’s edition of the game. Early leaks have revealed that the Bears quarterback will have a rating of 90 upon the first release of the game. It will be the highest rating of any Bears quarterback who has ever been depicted in Madden.

But Williams told the Kelce brothers that it will not stay that way:

Jason, who is retired, started out the Madden rating talk by telling his brother, Travis, that is rating in the game is 91. The Chiefs tight end, who could be playing in his final NFL season, was happy with that. “I still got it!” he declared, laughing.

Jason then told Williams, “Now yours seems low for someone who is on the cover, but it is still high.”

The Bears quarterback did not know what his rating was before the segment, and said, “Alright.” When Jason told him it was 90, Williams said, “Okay, well it will be 99 by the end of the year.”

99, for those unfamiliar with the game, is the highest rating a player can get. NFL players who achieve a 99 rating at any point even are gifted golden cleats for being part of such an exclusive club.

Last season, Williams led the Bears to one of the most impressive turnarounds in the league. After the team went 5-12 in 2024, they went 11-6 in 2025 and won the NFC North.

Williams himself had one of the best individual seasons in Chicago’s franchise history, completing 58.1% of his passes for 3,942 yards, 27 touchdowns, just seven interceptions, and a 90.1 passer rating. In order for him to get that rating up as the game updates throughout the season, he will most likely have to focus on that completion percentage.
