FanDuel Sports Network and every other sports media company that covers the NBA is anxiously awaiting to see what will happen between the Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo. While trade rumors swirled all season long, the fact of the matter is that there has been speculation that the 10-time NBA All-Star will eventually demand a trade away from the Bucks.
And after Milwaukee finished the season 32-50, many believed that the two-time league MVP was as good as gone. For their part, the Bucks have not publicly discussed any willingness to trade their franchise cornerstone, but if he makes it known to them that he will not sign another contract extension this October, they may have no choice.
FanDuel Sports Network gets Bobby Portis to shed light on Giannis trade rumors

Giannis famously does not discuss anything regarding his professional life with anyone outside of his family and agent. That is what makes reports from Shams Charania and other NBA insiders so tough to follow. The information is not coming from Giannis himself, so where is it coming from?
FanDuel Sports Network is trying to find out as much as they can about the situation between the Bucks and Giannis, so they invited one of his teammates, Bobby Portis, on to discuss it:
Bobby Portis on Giannis to Miami trade rumors:
“I talk to bro every week, every other week. We always check in…. I’ve been hearing about Giannis rumors and trades for 6 years so I don’t know what’s going to happen. The best thing we can do is wake up everyday, keep grinding… pic.twitter.com/jJFDXjECGr

“I talk to bro every week, every other week. We always check in, that’s like my real friends too. It’s always good to have real friends in the league. Like I said, sometimes you just teammates, you might not never talk again. You might not ever communicate. Like, he’s my real friend.
“Obviously, it’s been going around the league. And there’s been rumors being spread since I got on the Bucks. I’ve been hearing about Giannis rumors and trades for six years so I don’t know what’s going to happen. The best thing we can do is wake up everyday, keep grinding keep working, whatever happens is gonna happen.
“Whatever God has for you is for you.”
This is an interesting take because it seems as if Portis is trying to establish his credibility by saying that he is friends with Giannis, not just his teammate. To that end, his lack of clarity on the matter likely is a true reflection of the situation itself: it is not clear.
For their part, the Bucks would be foolish to want to trade the best player in their franchise’s history. At the same time, though, they cannot just allow him to leave Milwaukee as a free agent without getting something back for him.
Most of the rumors circulating around Giannis and the Bucks are in regard to trades and various packages. However, it should be noted that he also could sign a contract extension with Milwaukee as early as October.
If he is not traded by the time the NBA Draft is over, that is likely what is going to happen.
