Watch: Scottie Scheffler Shares Heartwarming Family Moment After Memorial Tournament Victory

Scottie Scheffler won his third PGA Tour title of the season and made history by becoming the first player since Tiger Woods to win the Memorial Tournament two years in a row. The World No. 1 finished four shots ahead of Ben Griffin after shooting a 70 in the final round at Muirfield Village. He had more than just a trophy to smile about after winning the Memorial Tournament on Sunday. Following his hard-fought round at Muirfield Village in Ohio, Scheffler walked off the course to cheers from the crowd and straight into a heartwarming family moment.

Scheffler Shares Sweet Family Moment After Memorial Tournament Win

Scottie Scheffler had a big day at the Memorial Tournament as he won his second title at Muirfield Village. But the best moment came right after the final putt, when he walked off the course and into the arms of his family. His wife, Meredith, and their 11-month-old son, Bennett, were waiting for him near the 18th green, and cameras captured a touching and funny family exchange that fans quickly fell in love with.

As Meredith approached, she gently held their baby and said, “Hi. Dada. It’s Dada,” encouraging Bennett to recognize his father. Scheffler smiled and responded warmly, “Hi, Buddy,” while reaching out to his son.

Meredith then smiled and said, “We’re so excited! That was amazing. Did you have fun watching him?” she asked, directing her question to Bennett. Then, turning back to Scheffler, she said with a big smile, “I’m so proud of you.”

In a playful moment, Scheffler took off his golf cap and gently placed it on Bennett’s head. Meredith laughed and praised the move: “Cool hat!” The crowd around them shared in the heartwarming moment as they joined in the laughter that followed.

Scheffler Revels In Hard-Fought Victory

The victory at Muirfield Village added yet another highlight to the 28-year-old’s outstanding year, which already includes titles at the PGA Championship and the CJ Cup Byron Nelson. He began the day with a one-shot advantage and never relinquished the lead, maintaining steady control throughout the final round.

Sunday’s victory brought him a $4 million prize and more proof that he’s one of the best golfers in the world. But beyond the trophies and titles, it was the simple exchange between husband, wife, and baby that touched hearts everywhere.
