With the third major of the year now complete, attention shifts to the final signature event of the 2025 PGA Tour season: the Travelers Championship. Following the U.S. Open, the Tour heads from Pinehurst, North Carolina, to Cromwell, Connecticut, for this limited-field showdown.
Widely regarded as a favorite stop among players and caddies, the Travelers Championship is known for its thrilling finishes and unforgettable moments. From Jordan Spieth’s iconic bunker hole-out for victory, to Harris English surviving an epic playoff, and Cameron Young firing a sub-60 round last year, the tournament has consistently delivered high drama and standout performances.

Full Field for the 2025 Travelers Championship
The event boasts a star-studded lineup, headlined by World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and No. 2 Rory McIlroy. Scheffler returns as the reigning champion after edging out Tom Kim in a dramatic playoff last year that was briefly halted by a protester on the final hole.

Every eligible player ranked in the world’s top 22 is participating, including newly crowned U.S. Open winner J.J. Spaun. The tournament will also feature five former champions: Jordan Spieth (2017), Harris English (2021), Xander Schauffele (2022), Keegan Bradley (2023), and defending champion Scottie Scheffler.
Sponsor exemptions for this year include promising rookie Luke Clanton—making just his second professional appearance—along with veterans Rickie Fowler, Gary Woodland, and Tom Kim. Matti Schmid, Kevin Yu, Bud Cauley, Mackenzie Hughes, and Harry Hall earned spots in the field through the Aon Swing 5.
