Oregon recruiting has been on fire in June. On Saturday, the Ducks received yet another commitment from a top recruit. This time, it’s Dorian Brew, 247Sports‘ seventh-best corner in the 2025 recruiting cycle. Brew represents the 14th commitment to the Ducks in this cycle. He joins Brandon Finney, who committed on the 25th, as the only corners currently in the class.

With the addition of this latest four-star playmaker, Oregon continues to build a legitimate top-five class for 2025. Brew is the latest recruiting win for Oregon over Ohio State with Jordon Davison picking the Ducks on Friday.

Four-Star Corner Dorian Brew Picks Oregon

Brew was one of many top-rated talents at Ohio State last weekend for a massive official visit but elected to pick Oregon.

The four-star corner hails from Conroe, Texas, though he is originally from Northmont, Ohio. He and his family moved to Conroe before the 2023 school year. He is considered the 61st-best overall recruit in the nation and 11th-best in the Lonestar State. Brew is a sticky, physical corner who will thrive in man-to-man and press situations. He’s often projected as more of a boundary corner and perhaps his best features are his speed and athleticism.

Brew was timed this Spring with a 10.75 100-meter time and a 21.79 200-meter. Those times would place him just outside the top nine finishers in the Texas 6A Track and Field State Championships.

Overall, Brew has an athletic profile that suggests that he will have a high ceiling at the Power 4 level and can play multiple positions in the secondary. On3’s scouts note that Brew is also quite adept at turning 50-50 balls into an advantage for himself.

In addition to all of that, Brew has legitimately elite genetics behind him. His father, Derrick Brew is a Gold Medalist from the 2004 Olympics in the 4×400 and Bronze Medalist in the 400. His mother, Donica Merriman, was a sprinter for Ohio State from 1998-2001 and was inducted into the Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame in her first year of eligibility in 2006.
