Sooners Land Nate Anderson

Continuing with the tradition of recruiting offensive lineman well, the Oklahoma Sooners have officially signed Nate Anderson. Anderson is a 6-foot-5, 262-pound Guard. He is out of Frisco, Texas. He is a four-star recruit, per the 247 Sports composite. Comparatively, Anderson has offers from Arizona State, Baylor, and Arkansas.

Anderson is considered the top-ranked guard prospect in the state of Texas. Additionally, he’s ranked as the 48th best prospect nationally regardless of position.

Oklahoma Sooners Sing Four-Star Offensive Guard Nate Anderson

He is a former defensive end in High School. His versatility makes him one of the most athletic offensive lineman prospects in the country. However, that versatility may also allow him to play multiple positions along the offensive line. Equally important, that is something that offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh often likes to employ.

Nate Anderson will likely be a redshirt candidate in 2020. He’ll need a year to add some weight to his frame. Currently, he is at 262 pounds. Additionally, Oklahoma will return at least four starters on the offensive line and perhaps all five if Creed Humphrey returns next year.
