USC Gets High End OL Manheim

USC has gotten the signature from its lone four-star recruit from this year’s class. Offensive lineman Jonah Monheim signed his letter of intent today. The 6-foot-5, 290-pound offensive lineman from Moorpark High School is a four-star recruit on the 247Sports Composite. He is a three-star on the 247Composite stand-alone rankings. Monheim has been playing left tackle at Moorpark but is projected as a guard at the college level.

USC Signs Offensive Lineman Jonah Manheim

He committed to USC in August and stuck with it through all of the Clay Helton coaching job rumors. He had 30 offers in all, including Alabama, Auburn, Michigan, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame and several Pac 12 and Ivy League schools. The only trips he took were to USC and Oklahoma. He is ranked as the #13 recruit at guard in the country. Monheim also is ranked as one of the top five offensive linemen in the state of California.

Monheim was high school teammates with USC freshman receiver Drake London.

He is one of five offensive linemen expected to sign with USC this week after the Trojans got just one in the 2019 class.

At the elite Summer camps, Monheim mostly worked out at the guard position. He has good lateral movement and blocks well at the second level.
