This year the Heisman Trophy has such intense competition, we saw some changes this week even with our top five all on a bye this week. Opportunities for reflection allowed for some small movement. However, we’ll see some additional movement this week as the jockeying for the top spot in the Heisman and the national rankings are up for grabs when LSU battles Alabama. Before that, let’s see where the changes were in our week 10 2019 Heisman rankings.
The Heisman Trophy and the state of Oklahoma are synonymous with one another. However, this week it’s a player in Stillwater that deserves the spotlight. Chuba Hubbard churned out his third 200-yard game of the season and is gaining some momentum. Could we see two players from Oklahoma make it to New York this season? How far did Hubbard climb in our week 10 2019 Heisman rankings?

QB | LSU Next Game: 11/09 at Alabama
Burrow is the clear number one in our rankings at this point in the season. However, the biggest game of his career takes place on Saturday in Tuscaloosa. Win and he will need to do a lot of damage to lose the Heisman. But, if he loses and doesn’t play as well as he has this season then the door opens a bit.

QB | Oklahoma Next Game: 11/09 vs Iowa State
Hurts finds himself in a position that both Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray was in, a mid-season loss. Oklahoma has four games remaining against fairly tough competition beginning with Iowa State this weekend. Given the fact that he’s still in the second position with a loss, says a lot for what he can do if the Sooners win out.

QB | Alabama Next Game: 11/09 vs LSU
A similar story for Tagovailoa here as we had for Burrow. A division and conference title, as well as a spot in the College Football Playoffs, could be up for grabs as the Tide hosts the Tigers. If Tagovailoa can walk, he’ll be out there on Saturday afternoon.

DE | Ohio State Next Game: 11/09 vs Maryland
This could be a field day for Young against a struggling Big 10 team. Believe it or not, the Buckeyes are a 41-point favorite against the Terps. With Penn State and Michigan looming down the stretch, this is a good chance for Young to continue padding his stats.

QB | Ohio State Next Game: 11/09 vs Maryland
This has all the makings of a first-half only game for Fields against Maryland. After starting 2-0, the Terrapins have taken a nosedive and are one of the worst teams in the conference. Be that as it may, Fields has done an incredible job of taking care of the football this season. Look for that to continue on Saturday.
