The rich keep getting richer. Tua Tagovailoa is making video game numbers look pedestrian. He narrowly has more incompletions (25) than touchdown passes (18) on the season. This, coupled with the fact that he hasn’t played a full game left, is proof why he is our clear leader. Dwayne Haskins has, however, made a big push with his six touchdown performance against Indiana. We’ll look at the movers and shakers in the week six Heisman rankings.
Kyler Murray and Will Grier had strong showings, but turnovers cause them to lose a little bit of their early-season momentum. Our biggest mover and newest member of the rankings is Travis Etienne. Top Five Candidates
1. Tua Tagovailoa
QB | Alabama Next Game: 10/13 vs Missouri
10 completions in 13 attempts for 334 yards and four touchdowns. Is that any good? He’s shattering the single-season passing efficiency record set by Baker Mayfield last season. Just think about what could happen if he played an entire game. This week, Missouri comes calling. The Tigers possess one of the only SEC teams that could possibly score enough for Tagovailoa to play into the fourth quarter.

2. Will Grier
QB | West Virginia Next Game: 10/13 at Iowa State
It’s easy to get caught up in a sleepy, non-emotional game against Kansas. And, that’s exactly what happened on Saturday. The good news is that Grier eclipsed 300 yards once again and threw four touchdown passes. The bad news was that he also tossed three red zone interceptions that made his stats look average. Grier has a chance to make a big statement on the road against Iowa State on Saturday.

3. Dwayne Haskins
QB | Ohio State Next Game: 10/13 vs Minnesota
Haskins put on a show as Ohio State started slow, but went on to blow out the Indiana Hoosiers. Even with the two interceptions, Haskins had the most passing yards and touchdowns out of any of the contenders. With 25 touchdown passes, he leads the country overall. The Buckeyes host Minnesota this weekend in the horseshoe. Haskins has an opportunity to pad his offensive stats over the next few games as Ohio State faces Minnesota, Purdue, and Nebraska.

4. Kyler Murray
QB | Oklahoma Next Game: 10/20 at TCU
Murray and the Sooners took a heartbreaking loss to the Texas Longhorns on Saturday. All things came to a rough ending as Oklahoma gave up 48 points and defensive coordinator Mike Stoops was dismissed. Although he did have two crucial turnovers, Murray had an outstanding game overall and nearly pulled the Sooners to a win from 21 points down. The Sooners will enjoy a bye week before traveling to Fort Worth to take on TCU next week.

5. Travis Etienne
RB | Clemson Next Game: 10/20 vs NC State
Etienne went from not listed in our rankings to number five this week! Lost in the Kelly Bryant and Trevor Lawrence saga is one of the best running backs in the country. Etienne is a big reason why the Tigers are undefeated and still in the driver’s seat for the playoffs. Clemson is off this week before hosting North Carolina State on October 20th.
