The storm 18 recruiting class of Miami just secured it’s top prospect in the class with the signing of Lorenzo Lingard. The early enrollee made his long commitment to Miami official signing with the school during the new early period. With this signing Lingard is set to be the highest rated prospect Miami will have on the current roster.
Elite Talent
Lingard is regarded as a five star prospect by every major national recruiting service. It’s not just the recruiting services though his production matches the hype. After rushing for over 1,700 yards and 26 touchdowns, he was named the Gatorade Florida Football Player of the Year. The accolades continue for Lingard as he was also named the 8A Player of the Year, the highest classification in the state of Florida.
After playing in the Army All-American game, Lingard will be enrolling early at the University of Miami. With his ability and Miami needing depth behind Travis Homer and DeeJay Dallas, it’s a perfect storm.
Loyal To His Word
After earning the commitment from the elite prospect, surprisingly Miami didn’t have to worry about other schools. From the moment Lingard committed he shut down the recruiting process and helped recruit other players to Miami. He didn’t take a visit to any school other the University of Miami.
