One of the top prospects in Miami-Dade county has signed his letter of intent with the hometown school. Cam Davis, a running back out of Carol City high school, stuck to his longtime commitment with the Hurricanes and made the signing official. Having shut down the recruiting process after his commitment, Davis has been one of the players who has helped recruit others to Miami. With his signing, Miami adds depth to a backfield that was low in depth just a season ago.
Miami Lands Cam Davis
Hometown Hero
Cam Davis has been on Miami’s radar for a long time and for good reason. The running back prospect was one of the key players for Carol City in its championship in his junior season. His powerful running style helped land him offers from Georgia, Southern Cal, Wisconsin before he decided to commit to the Hurricanes. He scored over 14 touchdowns as a junior and was invited to the Opening, a Nike event for top high school prospects around the nation.
Although Smith is signing early, he is set to enroll in Miami during the summer period. The signing of Davis bolsters a relatively young but talented backfield for next season.
