The Miami Hurricanes did a great job, in anticipation of the new Early Signing Day, of identifying the players and creating a plan to get them to the school. Another key signing from the staff is a talented prospect right in their back yard. Dee Wiggins is a six foot three talented wideout from Miami Southridge High School who is a smooth route runner and also make contested catches. Although recruiting services aren’t as high on him as teammate Mark Pope, colleges are. He holds offers from Alabama, Georgia Florida and West Virginia.
Loyal To Miami
Wiggins has been committed to Miami since his sophomore season in high school, even before the Mark Richt hire. Once Richt became the head coach, Wiggins’ commitment seemed to be more solidified and did not take visits to other schools.
Miami is getting a player with a winning pedigree as he was on the Miami Southridge team that won a state championship during his junior year. He is one of three players from Southridge that are committed to Miami that will be signing early. In addition to signing early he will be enrolled and taking courses and going through the strength and conditioning program in a matter of weeks after the early signing day period.
