The Hurricanes are keeping much of their top talent to stay home and this signing symbolizes that. Mark Pope is one of the premier prospects in the nation at the wide receiver position and is coveted by top schools from around the nation. The Miami Southridge product is ranked as a top 25 player in the nation by Rivals.com and is viewed as a five star prospect.

During the recruiting process he was viewed as one of the prospects that the Miami Hurricanes couldn’t allow to get away from the hometown team. Since his days in youth leagues many have known about the kid referred to by “Noodles”.

Adding More Elite Talent

The Hurricanes aren’t short of talent at the wide receiver position but Mark Pope is a special prospect. He was initially set to be a 2019 prospect but reclassified to the 2018 class and is still regarded as a five star prospect. As a junior he was able to lead his Miami Southridge team to a high school championship.

He joins a long list of Miami Hurricanes commits that are playing in national all star games. He will be appearing in the Army All-American game, his enrollment status as of now is that he will join the Hurricanes in the summer. That could possibly change but many expect him to join during the summer period.
