The Hurricanes have filled a big need at guard as DJ Scaife signs with Miami. He became the third Miami Southridge player to sign with the Hurricanes’ 2018 recruiting class. Scaife is another Miami commit that will be playing in the All Star game before enrolling early in January.
DJ Scaife Signs With Miami
DJ Scaife has been a prospect on Miami’s radar since he was at Miami Killian before transferring to Miami Southridge for his senior season. He is rated as the number eight guard prospect in the nation by 247Sports. Although generating much interest, Scaife has been set on the hometown team and the chance to become a Hurricane.
Scaife committed to the Hurricanes and shut down the recruiting process several months ago. He did not entertain any other schools. He will enroll in school in early January. He will begin his courses and get into the Hurricanes’ strength and conditioning program. With the graduation of two offensive linemen, there is every indication that Scaife will see playing time as a freshman.
