4 Star Offensive Tackle Brey Walker signs with Oklahoma

The early signing period for the Oklahoma Sooners is getting off to a tremendous start. In Lincoln Riley’s first season as head coach, he has the Sooners with a consensus top 10 recruiting class for 2018. Stay tuned to Last Word on College Football as we provide the latest in recruiting commitments and news.

Brey Walker has been a local star and has elected to stay in the Sooner state and sign early with Oklahoma. After taking a late visit to Texas A&M, Walker solidified his commitment this week to the Sooners.

Brey Walker Signs Early with Sooners

Walker, who played locally at Westmoore High School, has been a Sooner verbal commit for quite some time. Believe it or not, he has been committed to Oklahoma since November of 2015. Oklahoma has beaten out both Texas A&M and Florida State for his services.

The West Army All-American selection is ranked 28th in the nation overall and the number four offensive tackle nationally. Walker is a devastating tackle that has dominated his competition over the last couple of years. Standing 6 foot 7 inches tall and weighing 330 pounds, Walker has a chance to be a standout.

The Sooners arguably have the best offensive line in the country in 2017. However, they will lose senior Erik Wren at the Center position. Also, Orlando Brown is a junior but a projected top 10 pick in this NFL draft as a likely early departure. Walker will have the opportunity to challenge for playing time immediately.
