2022 Week Three Heisman Rankings

Last Word on College Football Heisman Rankings

College Football can be a very what have you done for me lately kind of sport. There has been a saying that is a bit cliche, but certainly rings true today. Big-time players make big-time plays in big-time games. That’s exactly what Saquon Barkley did on Saturday as he put a stranglehold on the Heisman Race. Well, at least for the time being. Barkley totaled 176 total yards and scored three times against the best defense in the country. But, will that be enough to put him at the top of our Heisman rankings?

It was a tough weekend for Rashaad Penny and Mason Rudolph. Penny is seemingly out of the race now in totaling only 69 yards in a loss to Fresno State. Rudolph has slid down in our rankings after a sluggish performance against Texas where he did not tally a score. However, Baker Mayfield helped himself in an off the radar game against Kansas State. Would Mayfield’s performance be enough to blow past Bryce Love who was on a bye?

It has been an on again, off again type of season for the reigning Heisman Trophy winner. Jackson’s numbers have not faltered, only his team has. However, after falling to Boston College a week earlier, Louisville picked up a big win against Florida State.
