The first Masters 1000 of the 2026 season is underway at ATP Indian Wells 2026 edition. Day four promises plenty of entertaining action with a number of star names in action and as always, we here at LWOT will be offering our predictions for every match including Taylor Fritz vs Jacob Fearnley<\/a> and Jack Draper vs Roberto Bautista Agut<\/a>. But who will advance?<\/p>\n

ATP Indian Wells Day 4 Predictions<\/h2>\n

Mackenzie McDonald vs Cameron Norrie<\/h4>\n

Head-to-head:<\/strong> McDonald 1-0 Norrie<\/p>\n

Mackenzie McDonald<\/span><\/span> arrived at ATP Indian Wells searching for his first tour-level win of the season with the American having been unable to build any real momentum in 2026. But wins over Vitaliy Sachko and Trevor Svajda, both in straight sets, took him into the main draw and he demolished an out-of-sorts Matteo Arnaldi for the loss of only one game in the first round.<\/p>\n

But 27th seed Cameron Norrie has an excellent record at ATP Indian Wells and on the slow courts in California, Norrie<\/span><\/span> should have enough time to use his consistency and movement to outmaneuver the American. Norrie\u2019s grinding style suits these conditions well. Expect him to tough it out and come through in three sets.<\/p>\n

Benjamin Bonzi vs Francisco Cerundolo<\/h4>\n

Head-to-head:<\/strong> first meeting<\/p>\n

Benjamin Bonzi<\/span><\/span> picked up a good win in his first main-draw match, but he now faces a tougher challenge. It will be interesting to see how Francisco Cerundolo<\/span><\/span> adapts to hard courts after a successful South American clay swing. Cerundolo\u2019s groundstrokes remain highly consistent and penetrating from the baseline, with his forehand a wearpon of note. Expect the Argentine to settle quickly enough to have the better of the Frenchman.<\/p>\n

Sebastian Baez vs Jiri Lehecka<\/h4>\n

Head-to-head:<\/strong> Baez 2-0 Lehecka<\/p>\n

Sebastian Baez<\/span><\/span> has shown he can compete on hard courts, highlighted by a runner-up finish in Auckland earlier this season. He faces Jiri Lehecka<\/span><\/span>, who has yet to find his best form this year and has lost both of their previous meetings. The slower courts at Indian Wells should suit Baez\u2019s grinding baseline style against an occasionally erratic Lehecka. The Czechs is a player of real promise, but if Baez can hold serve consistently, he has a good chance to come through.<\/p>\n

Carlos Alcaraz vs Grigor Dimitrov<\/h4>\n

Head-to-head:<\/strong> Alcaraz 4-2 Dimitrov<\/p>\n

On his way back after a bad injury, Grigor Dimitrov<\/span><\/span> hasn\u2019t been helped by the draw, running into a red-hot Carlos Alcaraz<\/span><\/span>. The Spaniard is unbeaten so far this year and has historically enjoyed playing at Indian Wells. Dimitrov is capable of producing high-level tennis here, but Alcaraz\u2019s pace, athleticism, and consistency make him extremely difficult to beat – particularly in slower conditions. If Dimitrov cab red-line his game he might be able to steal a set, but Alcaraz should still come through.<\/p>\n
