The top two seeds are in action, and it is going be a superb clash. As ever, we preview and predict the final.

ATP Buenos Aires Final Prediction

Francisco Cerundolo vs Luciano Darderi

Head-to-head – Cerundolo 2-2 Darderi

Francisco Cerundolo, seeded first, hasn’t really had to sweat in his matches. The Argentine will no doubt be the home favorite and his all-court play, especially suited for clay courts, makes him a dangerous opponent for anyone. He has been posting fairly god numbers on his serve throughout this week and that should be key again in this matchup.

Luciano Darderi has had a similar week to Cerundolo in terms of the ease with which he has reached the final. The Italian has been a consistent mover up the rankings and his Australian Open run should have instilled a lot of confidence in him. Darderi has all the firepower to trouble anyone and we may just see more of that this year.

Coming to this match, both players are even at 2-2 with Darderi winning the last match. Three of their four matches have gone the distance and this one is likely it will too.

Both players should come out of the gates serving big and playing aggressive tennis from both wings. As the match progresses, expect them to tighten up and in those moments it will be key to see who can handle the pressure better. Expect Cerundolo to be that person in front of a highly partisan crowd.
Prediction: Cerundolo in 3

<smartframe-embed class="smartframe_wp_element" customer-id="b0c95bc04383cef69c6b47df872135cf" image-id="WmOBjuuEKELV" style="width: 100%; display: inline-flex; max-width: 3508px; aspect-ratio: 3508/2480;" ></smartframe-embed>

Main Photo Credit: David Kirouac-USA TODAY Sports

The ATP Buenos Aires 2026 edition is all set for a fantastic final day of tennis.
