Binaghi Confirms Djokovic\u2019s Turin Participation<\/h3>\n

Speaking to La Politica nel Pallone<\/em> on GR Parlamento<\/em><\/a>, Angelo Binaghi, president of the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation, confirmed that the 24-time major champion will indeed compete at the ATP Finals next week.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have confirmation that Djokovic will play,\u201d Binaghi said.<\/p>\n

While this is not an official statement from Djokovic himself, Binaghi\u2019s confirmation as head of the host federation strongly indicates that the Serbian great will make his 17th appearance at the prestigious season-ending event.<\/p>\n

Djokovic\u2019s Record-Breaking Return<\/h3>\n

Djokovic already holds nearly every record at the ATP Finals, including the most titles and most qualifications. His participation in the 2025 edition will tie him with Roger Federer for the most appearances in tournament history.<\/p>\n

Although some expected him to skip Turin this year, Djokovic has repeatedly stated that retirement is not on his mind. The world No.1 believes his best chance to challenge Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner comes in best-of-three matches and not the Slams. Notably, he defeated both players back-to-back to win the 2023 edition.<\/p>\n

Impact on the Race for Turin<\/h3>\n

Djokovic\u2019s confirmed participation also affects the final qualification spot. Italian hopeful Lorenzo Musetti<\/a> must now win the ATP 250 in Athens to secure his place in Turin. Many believed he could qualify automatically if Djokovic had opted out, but with the Serbian competing, Musetti\u2019s task has become significantly tougher.<\/p>\n
