The much-anticipated finale of the 2025 WTA season is here, as the world\u2019s top eight players gather in Riyadh to contest the prestigious WTA Finals from November 1\u20138. With no easy matches and a line-up featuring the true elite of women\u2019s tennis, every day promises fascinating clashes as the world\u2019s best look to finish their seasons on a high and enter 2026 with momentum.<\/p>\n

Venue and Surface<\/h3>\n

For the second year running, the WTA Finals will be hosted at the King Saud University Arena in Riyadh, which boasts a capacity of over 4,000 spectators.<\/p>\n

The event will be played on indoor hard courts, with the surface expected to play similarly to last year\u2019s, a medium-fast court that rewards big serving but still allows for extended baseline exchanges and all-court play.<\/p>\n

Line-Up and Draw<\/h3>\n

All eight of the world\u2019s top players are in action, headlined by Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, and Coco Gauff. The field has been split into two groups of four, named in honor of two legends of the game.<\/p>\n

Tournament Format<\/h3>\n

Every player plays three matches within her group, taking on each of the other members once. The two best performers from each group move on to the semifinals, where the group winner takes on the runner-up from the opposite group.<\/p>\n

In the round robin, players earn three points for each victory. If two players finish level on points, their head-to-head result determines the higher spot. If three players end up tied, the total percentage of matches, sets, and games won decides who advances into the semis.<\/p>\n

Prize Money and Ranking Points<\/h3>\n

The tournament has a\u00a0$12.4 million prize pool, with a potential\u00a0WTA record of $5.235 million\u00a0available if a player remains undefeated. Each round-robin win awards\u00a0$355,000, so the full prize is only possible for a player who wins all her matches.<\/p>\n

A maximum of 1,500 ranking points are also at stake:<\/p>\n
