Gauff’s side of the draw opened up, and she cruised to the semifinals for the second consecutive year. She will be looking to advance to her first final here, but she must first pass a stern test. Jasmine Paolini has defeated Gauff<\/a> in some big matches this season and will arrive in this one on the back of upsetting Iga Swiatek.<\/p>\n Paolini took Swiatek by surprise with how aggressively she played, and Gauff should be at her best to tackle the game of the Italian. The #3 seed will be looking for revenge as she has already lost three times to Paolini this season and will be desperate not to lose another. Gauff will rely heavily on her serve, and if she can serve well, she will have an advantage in rallies. If the serve is shaky, I have Paolini winning this.
