Let me know who you’re picking in the comments.

ATP Mifel Tennis Open

Magadan – Yunchaokete: Time 19:00

H2H: 0-0

Alan Magadan and Bu Yunchaokete have never met before their match tonight. Primarily a hardcourt player, Yunchaokete hasn’t had the year he was expected to have coming off his rather impressive year in 2024. It’s been setback after setback, and he doesn’t even have a winning record on his preferred surface. Magadan has had a serviceable year thus far, but the majority of his time has been spent at the Futures level. Magadan is also a hardcourt player, but he’s had his success on other surfaces this year.

Best Bet to Make

This one isn’t expected to be close. Magadan is checking in as almost a 9.5-1 underdog in this match. Though Magadan has had a decent year, Yunchaokete is expected to be able to have his way with him in this match. For Yunchaokete, it’s not a matter of if he wins, but how thoroughly. I don’t see any reason why Yunchaokete shouldn’t win this match in the 6-2, 6-3 realm. You can grab Yunchaokete under 20 games for 1.56, but I would go a step further and take under 19.5 games at 1.7, and get that little extra.

That being said, Yunchaokete winning under 19.5 is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Yunchaokete winning under 19.5 games @1.7 @Pinnacle

Kachmazov – Ficovich: Time 19:00

H2H: 0-0

Tonight will be the first meeting between Alibek Kachmazov and Juan Pablo Ficovich. The Russian and Argentinian are at two different places in their careers right now. Kachmazov is currently moving up through the Challenger ranks, but his year has been extremely up and down. He’s found more success as of late, including making his first final of the year at the end of April, and he followed that up with a semifinal run. Ficovich has had several finals this year, but he’s still looking for his first tournament victory.

Best Bet to Make

The books have Kachmazov as the favorite in this match, and I completely disagree. His form lately has been found wanting. In his last ten matches, he’s won four times. Ficovich isn’t exactly loads better, but he’s 5-5 in his last ten matches, and he was on a three-match winning streak just two matches ago, and one of those two losses was in three sets. At 2.46, I think Ficovich is as live an underdog as you’re going to get right now, and that doesn’t even account for the age factor here.

That being said, Ficovich winning is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Ficovich winning @2.46 @Pinnacle

Duckworth – Mannarino: Time 19:00

H2H: 1-3

The last time James Duckworth and Adrian Mannarino met on a hardcourt, the two played an incredible five-match war at the Australian Open, which Mannarino won. In fact, Mannarino has only lost once to Duckworth, and that happened in Stuttgart back in 2021. Neither Duckworth nor Mannarino has had a 2025 to remember. Duckworth is barely above .500 on his preferred surface, and Mannarino is a combined 2-12 on his preferred surfaces. Picking either one of these guys is like betting on Haru Urara, ifkyk.

Best Bet to Make

Even though he’s had a worse year and isn’t hitting his stride on his preferred surfaces, I think Mannarino has enough experience and knowledge of Duckworth to get the win. It’s not even like Duckworth is that much of a favorite; most outlets have this match as a draw. At their highest, they’re only .05 points off, and it’s only .02 off at their lowest. In a coin flip, bet on the guy who dominates the rivalry and is in better form. The answer to both of those things is Mannarino. He’s 8-2 in his last ten matches, with multiple four-match winning streaks. Duckworth is coming off his third loss in a row.

That being said, Mannarino winning is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Mannarino winning @2.0 @Bet365

Main Photo Credit: David Kirouac-USA TODAY Sports

It’s time for ATP Los Cabos in stunning Los Cabos, Mexico.
