All told, this will be her ninth appearance at Wimbledon, and it will be the sixth such appearance for Swiatek. All that’s missing from Swiatek’s year is a tournament victory. She has been in six semifinals and one final in 2025. Bencic has a victory at Abu Dhabi, but only one other quarterfinal run outside of that. While Bencic does have a victory over Swiatek at a Major, it was at the U.S. Open, and it was in 2021. Swiatek has beaten her every other time, but it’s worth noting that they went three sets at the 2023 Wimbledon.

Best Bet to Make for Bencic

If you’re taking Bencic, you’re relying on her overall experience on grass. At 61-27, she does have ample experience compared to Swiatek at 26-9 on grass. There is also the fact that Bencic was really close to knocking Swiatek off in their last Wimbledon meeting. Had the tiebreak gone just a little differently, Swiatek would have gone down in straight sets to Bencic as a 5-1 favorite. If you are going to take Bencic, I would stick with the straight pick at 3.61. It’s going to provide you with the largest return, and you don’t have to worry about messing with over/unders.

That being said, Bencic winning is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Bencic winning @3.61 @Betfair

Best Bet to Make for Swiatek

At present, Swiatek is probably the third-best player in the world. The rankings have her at no. 4, but a win a Wimbledon would have something to say about that. As it stands, this is already her third semifinal at a Major this year. Aryna Sabalenka stopped her in France, and Madison Keys denied her in Australia. Is this the year she finally breaks through? The odds are extremely good. She’s 8-2 in her last ten matches, 8-1 on grass, and 3-1 against Bencic.

That being said, Swiatek winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Swiatek winning 2:0 @1.85 @Ladbrokes

Best Bet to Make/My Pick

The books have Swiatek winning this match, and I absolutely agree. Swiatek has been at the finish line all year, and the lessons have to pay off at some point. Swiatek is simply too good a player to remain in her winless rut at a Major semifinal. I fully expect Swiatek to dispense of Bencic within 22 games, as she’s been looking more focused than ever. She also already has five grand slam titles to lean upon for experience. Bencic has had a great run, but this is as far as she goes. Swiatek will be in the final vs Sabalenka.

That being said, Over 22 games is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Swiatek winning over 22 games @2.17 @Pinnacle

Main Photo Credit: Mike Frey-USA TODAY Sports

The second semifinal at the WTA Wimbledon Championship has as much potential as the first.
