Expect an entertaining third day at Wimbledon with 16 matches on the slate at the Championships. As always, we here at LWOT will be offering our predictions for every match on the slate in SW19, including Taylor Fritz vs Gabriel Diallo<\/a>, Jiri Lehecka vs Mattia Bellucci<\/a>, and Carlos Alcaraz vs Oliver Tarvet<\/a>. But who will secure their place in the round of 32?<\/p>\n

Wimbledon Day 3 Predictions<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Jordan Thomspon vs Benjamin Bonzi<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Ateet: Jordan Thompson came back from a two-set deficit to defeat Vit Kopriva in the first round. It was a high-quality match, but Thompson will need to do a better job of converting break points if he wants to reach the third round. Benjamin Bonzi got the biggest win of his life in the first round against Daniil Medvedev. He played a great match tactically, but what worked against Medvedev may not necessarily work against Thompson. However, Bonzi would still be the favourite if he serves well.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Bonzi in 5<\/em><\/p>\n

Damian: Thompson was far from convincing in the opening round against Kopriva, but fought his way through to a 5-set win. While last year he was one of the best grass-courters on tour, he\u2019s not been able to reach the same heights recently. Bonzi might be higher on confidence after the upset over Medvedev and maybe that will be enough for him to keep going.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Bonzi in 4<\/em><\/p>\n

Ilemona: Thompson looked sharp in his opener and has more grass-court pedigree, but Bonzi\u2019s first-round win was a confidence boost after a rough stretch. This will be their first meeting but everything\u2019s pointing to a potential tight battle. Bonzi\u2019s lack of recent wins on grass might be the difference.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Thompson in 5
