Let me know in the comment section if you agree with my picks.

Wimbledon Open

Krejcikova – Eala: Time 12:00

H2H: 0-0

Alexandra Eala burst onto the main stage of women’s tennis earlier this year, and her play has not slowed down since. She had a lull in wins from April until June, but her play since switching to grass has been impressive, even in her losses. A former winner here at Wimbledon, Krejcikova has won two different Majors. She won the 2021 French Open and the 2024 Wimbledon. But here’s the thing with Krejcikova, she really hasn’t played much in 2025, and hasn’t been very good when she has, outside of a single tournament in Eastbourne right before Wimbledon, and she lost as a favorite in the quarterfinals.

Best Bet to Make

Eala is the favorite in this match, but just barely, and only when comparing their highest odds each. The margins are so tight that I would be more comfortable calling this a draw according to the books. I get that Krejcikova had a solid showing at Eastbourne, but that’s the best she’s done all year, and Eala made the final of that same tournament. She’s 8-2 in her last ten matches while Krejcikova is 5-5 in her last ten. Eala is simply playing better tennis, and she’s also doing better on grass at present.

That being said, Eala winning is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Eala winning @1.93 @Pinnacle

Kartal – Ostapenko: Time 12:00

H2H: 0-1

The first time that Sonay Kartal and Jelena Ostapenko played was last week on June 24th. Ostapenko beat Kartal 6-3 in the first set and went to a tiebreak in set 2. Ostapenko has made it to the quarterfinals at Wimbledon in ’24, but she also has a second-round and round-of-16 exit, as well. Kartal has never finished higher than a third-round exit and has two other first-round exits.

Best Bet to Make

Ostapenko is the favorite in this match, and I agree. Not only is Ostapenko more accomplished at Wimbledon than her opponent, but she’s also having a better year overall. Grass isn’t Ostapenko’s best surface, but it’s also not her worst at 52-25 overall. She’s only 1-1 on the year, but Kartal is 2-3 on the year and 20-16 overall on grass. Unless Kartal can push Ostapenko into an error-laden match because she’s being hyper-aggressive, and she’s able to punish her every mistake, she’s gonna have a hard time winning.

That being said, Ostapenko winning is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Ostapenko winning @2.6 @Unibet

Badosa–: Time 16:30

H2H: 1-0

Paula Badosa and Katie Boulter don’t often meet, but it’s at a Major when they do. The last meeting between Badosa and Boulter was at the ’24 French Open, and it was an extremely competitive back-and-forth match. It went all three sets with Badosa coming out on top. Boulter is in better form right now, but she’s only made it as far as the third round at Wimbledon. Badosa’s gone as far as two different round-of-16 showings, with the latest one coming last year in ’24.

Best Bet to Make

Even with her form being extremely average entering Wimbledon, Badosa is the favorite by a fair amount for two players in the top 50. I’m not sure I agree. She is only 6-4 in her last ten, while Boulter is 7-3. I get that it’s only the difference of a game, but it’s how Badosa won her six that doesn’t impress me. Boulter has a tournament victory in Paris, but lost the French Open in the 2nd round to Madison Keys. She had a round-of-16 finish at Queen’s Club and a quarterfinal loss to the eventual winner, McCartney Kessler, in Nottingham. Not only are Boulter wins better, so are her losses.

That being said, Boulter winning is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Boulter winning @2.52 @1xBet

Main Photo Credit: Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

The WTA Wimbledon Championships begin, and I am back with some betting action for those matches.
