The years 2022 to 2024 saw fans slowly falling in love with what Francis Tiafoe<\/a> had to offer on the tennis court. Continuously pushing for the final stages in a Grand Slam<\/a> and bagging a few other tournaments around the year was something the tennis world loved about Tiafoe.<\/p>\n

However, 2025 hasn’t been very kind to the American. There has been an evident lack of consistency, and performance levels have declined significantly.<\/p>\n

Tiafoe’s poor 2025 season<\/h2>\n

A second-round exit at the Australian Open and early exits at both Indian Wells and Miami weren’t the start Tiafoe would have imagined. He made it to the final in Houston, his first clay tournament of the season, but after that, he couldn’t maintain that level. Tiafoe carried on with a string of first and second-round exits during the clay season. He did look impressive at the French Open, where he bowed out in the quarterfinals. However, what fans had expected wasn’t really there.<\/p>\n

The American played his first grass court match of 2025 at Queen’s Club against local boy Dan Evans<\/a>. Nothing much changed in terms of form, as the Brit was ready for the Tiafoe challenge. Evans beat Tiafoe 7-5 6-2 with a lot of ease, and it wasn’t the ideal start on grass for the American.<\/p>\n
