Here are my best bets for these matches. Tell me if you agree in the comments.

WTA German Open

Wang – Kasatkina: Time 11:30

H2H: 1-1

While Xinyu Wang has a victory over Darya Kasatkina, it came on a hardcourt. Her loss, however, was on grass like the court in Berlin. Neither lady is in their best form. Wang is 5-5, and Kasatkina is 4-6 in their last ten matches. Kasatkina is better than Wang on grass, but I’ll leave it up to you to judge how much better. Wang is 18-11 on grass, and Kasatkina is 35-19. While this is Kasatkina’s second match on grass, it would be the second tournament and fourth match for Wang, having beat Ons Jabeur and Talia Gibson to earn this match.

Best Bet to Make

There’s a pretty solid reason that Kasatkina is the favorite on the books for this match. On the whole, Kasatkina is a better player than Wang. While she’s not steeped in experience on grass, she’s no slouch. She will not be an enormous moneymaker, but you could always lean on a correct score if you want better odds. Even straight up will allow you to walk out of there with more money than you entered, but you’re not likely to find an outlet offering higher than 1.5, if you’re fortunate enough to even find that.

That being said, Kasatkina winning is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Kasatkina winning @1.53 @Bet365

Paolini – Jabeur: Time 10:00

H2H: 3-2

Ons Jabeur enters her sixth career match against Jasmine Paolini, hoping she can regain the form she had against Paolini the only time they met on clay in 2023. Jabeur won that match in straight sets at Eastbourne in 2023, but she hasn’t beaten Paolini since. Paolini has taken all three of their meetings since that date, with two on clay and one on a hardcourt, and two of the matches happened in 2025. It’s because those other matches happened so recently that Jabeur finds herself the underdog again.

Best Bet to Make

It’s been nothing but victories for Jasmine Paolini against Ons Jabeur in 2025, and that’s earned her the title of favorite in this match. Rather than taking Paolini straight up at 1.5, this is the match to go with a correct score. At 2.2, taking Paolini 2:0 is the move, considering Jabeur has never gone three sets against Paolini. Even their losses stayed within two sets, and there’s one retirement on the books. Maybe Jabeur shocks everyone, but I think this one will go smoothly for Paolini based on the surface and past matches with Jabeur.

That being said, Paolini winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Paolini winning 2:0 @2.2 @Bet365

Rybakina – Zheng: Time 17:30

H2H: 2-1

It was 2022, but Elena Rybakina has beaten Qinwen Zheng on a grass surface before. In fact, it was at Wimbledon when she beat her on grass. Rybakina and Zheng meet for the fourth time, and it’s Rybakina who finds herself the favorite, even though Zheng is the higher-ranked player on the world scale. The form for both ladies is incredible. Rybakina only has two losses in her last ten matches, while Zheng only has three. The names they’ve lost to are just as impressive: Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka, Tatiana Maria, Coco Gauff, and Amanda Anisimova.

Best Bet to Make

Rybakina is the favorite in this match because she’s better than Zheng on grass. Her career record is 34-12, and Zheng’s is 5-9. Add in the fact that she’s playing a little better lately, and you get a fairly predictable outcome for this match. You could go with the correct score on this one, and you’ll make a decent sum at 2.38, or you could bet straight on 1.53. You might be tempted to say three sets because their last match went three, but this has all the markings of a two-set sweep.

That being said, Rybakina winning is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Rybakina winning 2:0 @2.38 @WilliamHill

Main Photo Credit: Jayne Kamin-USA TODAY Sports

The action in Berlin continues, and I’m back with more best bets from the WTA German Open.
