The 2025 Roland Garros final saw a tennis match for the ages<\/a> on the dirt of Paris. Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner produced an epic that satisfied the hunger of every tennis fan. A 2-0 set lead for the Italian meant that Alcaraz would have to play out of his skin to turn the match around. Further bringing up three match points in the fourth set meant it was Sinner’s trophy time at the prestigious French Open<\/a>. That’s when Alcaraz flicked a switch that took everyone by storm as he not only saved the three match points but also won that set to take it into a decider. The players couldn’t be split even after 12 games in the decider as the score read 6-6.<\/p>\n

Finally, a super tiebreak<\/a> helped the cause as the Spaniard emerged stronger to deny Sinner a title he was inches away from. The final score read 4-6 6-7 6-4 7-6 7-6(10-2). A final like this was bound to attract some attention from the greats of the game. Tennis legends Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, who themselves shared a very intense rivalry on the court, wasted no time in commenting on the final and congratulating both the athletes who sweated it out for five-and-ahalf hours.<\/p>\n

Rafael Nadal heaps praise<\/h2>\n

22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal who won the Roland Garros title a record breaking 14 times was proud to see fellow Spanish player Carlos Alcaraz show incredible grit in the final. He tweeted<\/a> in Spanish to congratulate the Spaniard and also gave a mention to Sinner in English.<\/p>\n
