The Laver Cup is set to return to London, as the ninth edition of the competition will be hosted in Great Britain from 25 to 27 September 2026 at the O2.<\/p>\n

Laver Cup on London Time Again<\/p>\n

During Laver Cup ’22 at The O2, Roger Federer played his last competitive match alongside his rivals and teammates and Team World emerged victorious for the first time.<\/p>\n

A venue such as the O2 holds a special place in the hearts of tennis fans, having been the home of the ATP Finals from 2009 to 2020. It also staged one of the most emotional editions of the Laver Cup<\/a> \u2014 the fifth, in 2022 \u2014 when Roger Federer played the final match of his career. The Swiss legend shared the court with his longtime rival, Rafael Nadal, and celebrated his farewell alongside fellow tennis greats such as Novak Djokovic<\/a> and Andy Murray.<\/p>\n

Among those who shared their excitement was Roger Federer<\/a>:\u00a0\u201cMy final match in 2022 was filled with emotion and unforgettable memories \u2014 being surrounded by my teammates, who were also my greatest rivals \u2014 it was everything I could have hoped for. While we\u2019ve traditionally taken the Laver Cup to new cities around the world each year, the response from London \u2014 from fans, partners, and players \u2014 was truly overwhelming. The appetite to see the Laver Cup return was impossible to ignore, and we\u2019re excited to once again bring this unique tennis event back to the O2.\u201d<\/p>\n

No players have been announced yet, but organizers are expected to bring in big names to match the prestige and sentiment of the 2022 edition. Team Europe will look to perform well in front of their home crowd, while Team World hopes to close the gap. As of now, Team Europe leads the head-to-head series 5\u20132 ahead of the 2025 edition in San Francisco, USA. Notably, Team Europe\u2019s only home defeat came at the O2 in 2022.<\/p>\n
