We here at LWOT predict all four matches in this article, but which players do you expect to reach the quarterfinals?

WTA Strasbourg Day 4 Predictions

Beatriz Haddad Maia vs Ashlyn Krueger

Head-to-head: First meeting

Haddad Maia’s thrilling victory against Clara Tauson felt important for her. She has endured a dreadful first few months of 2025, and beating the fast-improving Tauson might be a turning point. Krueger’s powerful playing style is similar to Tauson’s, meaning Haddad Maia got good preparation in the last round. The Brazilian has not won back-to-back matches since January, but this might be where that barren streak ends.
Prediction: Haddad Maia in 3

Emma Navarro vs Anna Blinkova

Head-to-head: Blinkova 2-1 Navarro

Blinkova won the sole previous clay-court match between these two, but that was in 2023. Navarro has significantly developed as a player since then. At the same time, her level in 2025 has yet to reach the heights seen last year, offering Blinkova some hope. The US Open semifinalist’s more complete game is backed to win in straight sets, but expect both to be competitive.
Prediction: Navarro in 2

Embed from Getty Images

Jessica Pegula vs Anna Kalinskaya

Head-to-head: Pegula 3-0 Kalinskaya

The last two matches between this pair have gone to deciding set tiebreaks, each won by Pegula. That includes last year’s incredible Berlin Open final, where the No. 1 seed in Strasbourg saved five championship points before prevailing. Red clay is each player’s weakest surface, but Kalinskaya will still try to take advantage of Pegula’s average form on the surface so far this year. However, the World No. 3 coming to Strasbourg in search of match wins before the French Open was a show of intent, and I expect her to play better than in Madrid and Rome.
Prediction: Pegula in 3

Danielle Collins vs Emma Raducanu

Head-to-head: First meeting

Emma Raducanu made a statement by beating Daria Kasatkina in the last round. She easily dismantled an excellent player on the dirt and controlled the match from start to finish. The matchup with Collins will be entirely different. While Kasatkina mainly relies on her athleticism and defensive skills, Collins tries to bully opponents with aggressive hitting. Raducanu has done well against powerful opponents in the past, but the American likes the conditions in Strasbourg and starts as the favorite.
Prediction: Collins in 2

Main Photo Credit: Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

The remaining WTA Strasbourg round of 16 matches will be completed on Wednesday. 2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu’s battle with last year’s runner-up in Strasbourg, Danielle Collins, could be epic.
