“My daughter will be traveling to Rome to attend the WTA tournament, mainly hoping to see Ons Jabeur, her favorite tennis player. I’ve never asked this before, but this time, dear internet, please do your magic and let them meet. RT if you want to help,” read the post.<\/p>\n

He also shared a photo of his daughter holding a sign that read, in bold capital letters, “I\u2019m looking for Ons Jabeur.”<\/p>\n

Not even an hour and a half later, it was Jabeur herself who replied:<\/p>\n

“Let\u2019s make this happen. Can\u2019t wait to meet her,” she wrote, tagging both the tournament and the WTA.<\/p>\n

Both official accounts were quick to support the initiative. “Let\u2019s do it,” responded the WTA<\/a>. “Count on us,” added the Internazionali BNL d\u2019Italia.<\/p>\n

The story had a happy ending. The father later posted a photo of Ons Jabeur<\/a> standing with his daughter\u2014who, incredibly, was wearing a jacket covered with pictures of Ons\u2019 face.<\/p>\n

“A social media success story in 4 acts. A warm thank you to Ons Jabeur, the WTA, and the Internazionali BNL d\u2019Italia for making this happen,” he wrote. “PS: I never had well understood why my daughter is such a passionate Ons Jabeur supporter. Now I know.” Though he didn\u2019t say it outright, his words revealed the pride and joy of a father grateful to his daughter\u2019s idol.<\/p>\n

As if karma were smiling back, Jabeur didn\u2019t even have to play her first match, as her opponent, Petra Kvitova, withdrew before stepping on court. The World No. 36 advanced to the third round, where she is set to face Italian hometown favorite Jasmine Paolini<\/a>.<\/p>\n
