None of the clay court matches went beyond two sets. In fact, only one of the fourteen matches they’ve played has gone beyond two sets.

Best Bet to Make

The books have Swiatek as the favorite, and it’s easy to see why. At 11-3 against Gauff, Swiatek seems to understand how to beat her consistently, and without needing to work too hard while doing so. Given the fact that she’s won the last two matches, it might be tempting to think Gauff is ready to make it three in a row, but here’s where her 0-5 record on clay against Swiatek outweighs that. All in all, Swiatek should notch her twelfth win over Gauff and her sixth on clay.

That being said, Swiatek winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Swiatek winning 2:0 @2.3 @Betway

Sabalenka – Svitolina: Time 21:30

H2H: 4-1

Aryna Sabalenka and Elina Svitolina have met five times before Madrid, and Sabalenka is 4-1 in those matches, with two wins coming on clay. Svitolina did notch a win over Sabalenka back in 2020 in a three-set match in Strasbourg. Two of their three matches on clay have gone three sets, and Rome could have gone either way. At this particular point, both ladies are on fire. Sabalenka is 9-1 in her last ten matches, while Svitolina is currently on an eleven-match winning streak with one tournament title.

Best Bet to Make

The books have Sabalenka as a pretty heavy favorite, and I’m not sure I agree with how heavy. I think that Svitolina is playing well enough, and when you combine that with their history of having played three sets in two of their three clay matches, you end up with a very tempting offer.
