Despite being a much higher-ranked player in the world rankings, Ruud has really struggled with Bautista throughout his career. Whether it’s been on clay, indoors, or a hardcourt, Ruud hasn’t had much luck beating Bautista. With their fifth matchup on the horizon, it might be time to look past recent form in favor of recent history.

Best Bet to Make

Ruud is a pretty heavy favorite, but I don’t agree with that. This is one of those rare instances where you can just tell when someone has another person’s number. Both men are extremely good on clay. Bautista is 294-201, and Ruud is 239-108. While you can make a tiny amount of money betting on Ruud at 1.22, the real value is taking Bautista in the upset at 4.75, which would almost quintuple your money. Bet wisely, but know going in that this is something Bautista is more than capable of pulling off.

That being said, Bautista winning is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Bautista winning @+375 @Betway

Borges – Martinez Time 11:00

H2H: 2-0

Nuno Borges and Pedro Martinez meet up for the third time in their careers. The previous two matches went to Borges, and both were on clay. Martinez enters this match playing some of the worst tennis of his career. His record in 2025 is 9-11, but he has only won three of his last ten matches. Borges is 5-5 in his previous ten, but he is 15-11 on the year. All in all, this match doesn’t look like it is going to be terribly competitive.

Best Bet to Make

The books have Borges winning, and I wholeheartedly agree. While you can make money on Martinez at 2.7, the risk is far too great when you can still make money on Borges, just not as much. Borges has fairly decent value at about 1.5, so it seems sensible to approach the match with a mindset of taking the less profitable but more likely outcome. Keep in mind that Borges is 128-59 on clay, but Martinez is a staggering 395-208.

That being said, Borges winning is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Borges winning @-192 @Pinnacle

Etcheverry – Davidovich-Fokina: Time 11:00

H2H: 0-2

Tomas Martin Etcheverry and Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina square off at Monte Carlo for the rights to have the longest name in the tournament going forward. Joking aside, these two have met twice before, with both matches going to Davidovich-Fokina in straight sets of 6-3, 6-3. One was on hardcourt, the other on clay. Neither guy is playing well right now, both entering the match having gone 2-3 in their last five matches. That said, Davidovich-Fokina enters having won six of his last ten, while Etcheverry has only won four of his last ten.

Best Bet to Make

The books are offering quality odds on both players, but Davidovich-Fokina is the favorite, and I do agree. While betting on Davidovich-Fokina would net you half of what you would make betting on Etcheverry, recent results combined with their match history suggest the smart money is on the more likely outcome.
