Meeting her in the championship match is first-time Tour finalist Katarzyna Kawa. The Pole came through qualifying and has already beaten the top seed, Marie Bouzkova. Could she have another upset up her sleeve? Who will win the 2025 Copa Colsanitas Zurich?

WTA Bogota Final Prediction

Camila Osorio vs Katarzyna Kawa

Head-to-head: first meeting

Osorio reached her third career final at WTA Bogota with a straight-sets win over the in-form Julia Riera. She recovered from a break deficit in each set to advance. Before that victory, Osorio had eliminated Higuta Barraza and two-time former champion Tatjana Maria in straight sets. The only set she dropped during the week was in the last 16 stage against big-serving Emina Bektas. Osorio is a two-time winner at her home tournament. Colombia’s Fabiola Zuluaga (4) is the only player who has won more titles in Bogota. The second-seeded Osorio can get closer to that record on Sunday.

For her part, Kawa marched into her first WTA Tour final by dismissing American teenager Julieta Pareja 7-5, 6-2 in the second semifinal. After labouring to victory in the earlier rounds, the 32-year-old finally had some breathing space as she utilized her experience to see off the talented Pareja in two hours. Kawa’s run has been awe-inspiring, considering that she has spent at least 15 hours on the court in Bogota. Remarkably, almost half of that time was spent qualifying for the tournament, beating Topalova in three hours and Maria Tig in four hours and 15 minutes.

Although her seismic run has defied logic, Kawa is still the underdog in the WTA Bogota final against the home crowd favorite Osorio. The Pole’s high mileage might be her undoing in the final, and the physical toll is beginning to slow her down (she’s already taken multiple medical timeouts for a hip injury). Osorio is a firm favorite to defend her crown.

Prediction: Osorio in 2

Main Photo Credit: Geoff Burke – USA TODAY Sports

Camila Osorio will look to become the second Colombian to win three titles at WTA Bogota.
