Last week in Doha, Halys lost in the opening round match against Auger-Aliassime in three tight sets. This week in Dubai, Quentin successfully qualified for the main draw tournament. In the opening round match, Halys upset Rublev in three tight sets. In the second round, Bautista-Agut had no answer for the Frenchman. Today, he lost the opening set against Nardi 2-6 in the quarterfinals. However, Halys stepped up his level and turned the match around.

Felix Auger-Aliassime has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Doha, Felix reached the semifinals, losing against Rublev in three tight sets. A few weeks ago, Felix won the title in Montpellier, winning against Kovacevic in the final. At the beginning of the season, Felix won the title in Adelaide, winning against Korda in the final. It is his second appearance in Dubai. In the opening round, Felix won against Bublik in three tight sets. After that, Felix defeated Borges in three tight sets in the second round after losing the opening set 4-6. Today, Felix won against Cilic in three tight sets in the quarterfinals.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Felix is the favorite in this matchup, but we disagree. Quentin has been phenomenal this week in Dubai. Felix struggled in all three matches. We expect a similar outcome to last week in Doha, where Felix won in three tight sets. We believe Halys will have a chance to keep this match tight.

That being said, Halys covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Quentin Halys +2.5 games handicap @2.10 @bet365

Griekspoor – Tsitsipas: 28.02.2025 16:00 CEST
H2H: 0-2

Tallon Griekspoor has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Doha, Tallon lost against Berrettini in three tight sets in the second round. Griekspoor defeated Safiullin in three tight sets in Dubai after spending three hours on the court. After losing the opening set 5-7, Tallon stepped up his level and turned the match around. In the second round, Tallon won against Humbert in three tight sets after losing the opening. Today, in the quarterfinals, Medvedev won the opening set 6-2, but Tallon again turned the match around.

Stefanos Tsitsipas has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Doha, Medjedovic upset Stefanos in the opening round. Stefanos won the opening round match against Sonego in straight sets this week in Dubai. He trailed 0-3 in tiebreak in the opening set, but successfully turned it around. Stefanos offered no breakpoints in the second set and easily closed out the match. Today, in the quarterfinals, Tsitsipas won against Berrettini in three tight sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Griekspoor is the underdog in this matchup, but we disagree. This week in Dubai, Tallon returned after losing the opening set each time. He will be fully confident coming into this match. On the other hand, Tstisipas also won his 1/8-Final and quarterfinal matches in three tight sets. When they played against each other earlier this month under similar conditions, Tstisipas won in three tight sets. We expect a tight match that could go either way.

That being said, over games is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: over 23.5 games @-106 @FanDuel

Main Photo Credit: Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

ATP 500 Dubai semifinals Halys – Auger-Aliassime: 28.02.2025 14:00 CEST H2H: 0-2 Quentin Halys has won five straight matches.
