At the beginning of the season, Sabalenka won the title in Brisbane, winning against Kudermetova in three tight sets. After losing the first set 4-6, Aryna turned the match around and won her season’s first title.

In the opening Australian Open round, Aryna defeated Stephens in straight sets. The world number 1 lost her serve twice in the match but still won in straight sets. Sabalenka had it easy in the second round against Bouzas Maneiro, winning in straight sets. However, in the third round against Tauson, Sabalenka struggled on the court. She lost her serve five times but still won in straight sets. Sabalenka trailed 3-5 in the first set but successfully turned the match around. In the 1/8-Finals, Aryna defeated Andreeva 6-1 6-2. She saved all three breakpoints and won within an hour. Today, in the quarterfinals, Aryna won against Pavlyuchenkova in three tight sets, as we predicted. The first two sets were a roller-coaster.

Today, in the semifinals, Aryna defeated Badosa in straight sets, as we predicted. She trailed 0-2 in the opening set but turned it around. Besides losing that service game, Sabalenka was lethal on her serve. Sabalenka is the defending champion here in Melbourne. Last year, Aryna defeated Zheng in the final in straight sets.

Madison Keys has won eleven straight matches. Two weeks ago in Adelaide, Madison won the title, winning against Pegula in the final in three sets. At the beginning of the season, Madison played in Auckland, losing against Tauson in the quarterfinals.

At the Australian Open, Keys won her straight-set opening match against Li. Her most demanding challenge in the tournament happened in the second round against Ruse. Keys trailed 2-3 in the deciding set but successfully turned the match around. Ruse was a big underdog but played well, almost upsetting Keys. In the 1/8-Finals, Madison defeated Rybakina in three sets. It was an exciting match, with both players making many unforced errors. In the quarterfinals, Keys defeated Svitolina in three sets, as we had predicted. After losing the first set 3-6, she kept playing aggressively. It paid off as she increased her winners and reduced her unforced errors in the deciding set.

Today, in the semifinals, Madison upset Swiatek in three tight sets. She even saved one match point in the deciding set. Madison also trailed 5-7 in the super tiebreak but stayed composed and turned it around. The last time she played in Melbourne was in 2023 when she lost in the third round against Azarenka in three sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Aryna is the favorite in this matchup, and we agree. Sabalenka is currently the best player in the world. She has won two consecutive Australian Open titles. We believe Keys will have no answer for Aryna’s game on Saturday.

That being said, Sabalenka winning in straight sets is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Aryna Sabalenka winning 2-0 @1.80 @bet365

Main Photo Credit: Mike Frey-Imagn Images

WTA Australian Open final Sabalenka – Keys: 25.01.2025 09:30 CEST H2H: 4-1 Aryna Sabalenka has won eleven straight matches.
