Her level this year does mean a drubbing in her last outing is possible. Pegula is almost certain to win, but the fans on Arthur Ashe Stadium will hope the score is respectable. <strong>Pegula in 2<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Steen: At 30-12 on the year and a double finals appearance this summer (won Toronto, lost Cincy), Pegula is dominating the US Open summer circuit swing. The retiring Rogers is just 4-7 at tour level this year, her swan song is unlikely to result in an upset victory. <strong>Pegula in 2<\/strong><\/div>\n<h3 dir=\"auto\">Anna Bondar vs Bernarda Pera<\/h3>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Jordan: This is a good draw for both players. Pera prefers playing on clay and her success at WTA Tour level on hard courts is limited. That may give a slight edge to Bondar. <strong>Bondar in 3<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Steen: Pera has been at tour level this year, but prefers clay and has really struggled on the season. Despite her excellent performances, I do not think she will defeat Putintseva. The Kazakhstani\u2019s superb movement and variety is a good combination to disrupt the Czech. <strong>Putintseva in 2<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Steen: Putintseva is a remarkable 28-14 on the year, it&#8217;s a shame she has to face Noskova who is 26-16 and just won the WTA Monterrey tournament down in Mexico.
