It will feature other top 10 players such as Holger Rune and world #11 Casper Ruud just fresh off a run to the Los Cabos final. Who do you think will advance? We also look at the rest of the day’s matches in a separate article, featuring Roman Safiullin vs Stefanos Tsitsipas.

ATP Acapulco Day 2 Predictions

Michael Mmoh vs Holger Rune

Head-to-head: Rune 1-0 Mmoh

Rune has had a very disappointing start of the year, but he has still managed to beat Mmoh when they faced in Montpelier. As much as Rune has been struggling, he’s still clearly above Mmoh and should be able to win here. It remains to be seen whether Rune can start living up to the expectations set out for him, but he should at least win this first round.
Predictions: Rune in 2

[tgdcta items=”1″ id=”170476″]

Casper Ruud vs Christopher Eubanks

Head-to-head: Ruud 2-1 Eubanks

Eubanks had an incredible grass season in 2023, which is pretty much keeping his ranking up right now, but on hardcourt he has failed to replicate the same level. Ruud is far from the level that took him within a match of the #1 ranking, but he’s still a very solid player, very tough to beat, and should prevail here.
Prediction: Ruud in 2

Embed from Getty Images

Rodrigo Pacheco Mendez vs Dusan Lajovic

Head-to-head: first meeting

This will probably end up being one of the biggest mismatches of the year ranking-wise, with #55 taking on #700.
