It really is a shame that her impressive form from the Majors didn&#8217;t last. For Masarova, that was only a WTA 125 on clay. For Sasnovich, it was a WTA 250 on grass in &#8216;s-Hertogenbosch. Sasnovich is likely the better player in general, but on grass this match won&#8217;t be in question.<br \/>\n<em>Prediction: Sasnovich in 2<\/em><\/p>\n<p>[cta id=4014 type=cta]<\/p>\n<h4>Liudmila Samsonova vs Viktoriya Tomova<\/h4>\n<p>This is a surprisingly good match for a tournament a week before a Major. Don&#8217;t let Tomova&#8217;s ranking of #80 fool you&#8211;she has great potential and has been consistently improving. She may have gotten off to a late start in becoming a top-level pro, but she&#8217;s well on the way to getting there&#8211;even if she&#8217;s currently in a bit of a slump. Samsonova&#8217;s rise has been somewhat quiet, but she&#8217;s not into the Top 15 in the world and isn&#8217;t really slowing down.
