We also predict the rest of the day&#8217;s action <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/tennis\/2023\/06\/12\/wta-nottingham-day-2-predictions-haddad-maia-tsurenko\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">in a separate article<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>WTA Nottingham Day 2 Predictions<\/h2>\n<h4>Emily Appleton vs Katie Boulter<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Head-to-head:<\/strong> Boulter 1-0 Appleton<\/p>\n<p>Boulter prevailed when the pair faced earlier this year on hard court and she&#8217;s once again a very clear favorite to do so. Golubic won both of their previous matchups, but they both happened three and four years ago and on different surfaces (clay and hard court). Swan reached a grass final at ITF level last week, but Cornet is also comfortable on grass and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/tennis\/2022\/09\/02\/alize-cornet-slams-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">even reached<\/a> the last 16 at <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/tennis\/wimbledon\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Wimbledon<\/a> last year.
