However, her luck has certainly run out here with a first round draw against <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/tennis\/2018\/06\/15\/stephens-keys-leaders-american-tennis\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Madison Keys<\/a>. The big-hitting American has returned to something near her best form in 2022 an looks a threat at most tournaments she plays. That will be particularly true here as she plays in front of a home crowd on courts that suit her game. However, that form hasn&#8217;t translated onto other surfaces and she has struggled mightily since. Fortunately for her, she plays against a similarly surface-limited player in Camila Osorio. Trevisan is the higher ranked player but I suspect Osorio has more upside on these courts. That being said, Kenin reached heights her compatriot never did <a href=\"https:\/\/www.givemesport.com\/88051152-sofia-kenin-whats-happened-to-the-young-prodigy-former-player-of-the-year\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">before COVID-19 and other issues took her away from the game<\/a>. The young, feisty American is now trying to charge back into the picture and San Diego looks the perfect opportunity to do just that.
