Ruud has been decent in his first two matches this week but still far off the form which saw him make the Roland Garros final, on the other hand Ramos has struggled in both of his matches so far this week including needing a final set tiebreak saving match point to beat Jarry. A few weeks ago just the thought of Dominic Thiem in a semifinal <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/tennis\/2022\/05\/22\/dominic-thiem-winless\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">was crazy to think<\/a> whilst a semifinal for the Italian would have been the norm. In their last two meetings, although on hard courts, Berrettini has not dropped a set exposing the Austrian\u2019s longer swings on the faster courts. In their only clay court meeting Thiem won a fairly routine four setter although four years ago. Truth be told, this is impossible to call. Berrettini looked good in his first match since recovering from COVID against Gasquet but against Martinez in the quarterfinals found himself a set and 5-1 down in the second set tiebreak before miraculously winning.
