This is a tricky stage of the season as players adjust to a new surface, some strange results are going to occur. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the some of the best betting options for the day.

ATP/WTA April 7 Best Bets

ATP Marrakech R2: David Goffin vs. Pablo Andujar

David Goffin as an outsider against a 36-year-old Pablo Andujar is very, very tempting, even if Goffin has been in terrible form prior to this tournament. Goffin made a good start to his Marrakech campaign with a 6-2 7-6 win over Damir Dzumhur, a victory to build on moving forward this week. Pablo Andujar is still a solid player and just beat the second seeded Dan Evens 6-4 6-2 in the first round. However, the Spaniard has suffered some poor losses on clay in recent times to players such as Marcelo Tomas Barrios Vera, Mirza Basic, Yosuke Watanuki and Pedro Cachin. These results suggest Andujar is very beatable. Goffin is undoubtedly the better player and should be motivated to have a good week in Marrakech as he attempts to reverse a run of poor form. I see value with the Belgian in this spot as the outsider.

Recommended Selections:

David Goffin ML – 1.5 units @ +154

Embed from Getty Images

ATP Houston R2: (2) Taylor Fritz vs. Alejandro Tabilo

Alejandro Tabilo has been playing some of the best tennis of his career on clay over the last couple of months. The Chilean has been playing exclusively on clay since early February, highlighted by runs to the ATP 250 ATP 250 Cordoba final, Santiago semifinals and more recently a runner-up appearance at the Santiago challenger. Meanwhile, Taylor Fritz will be playing his first clay court match of the season, clay is easily the American’s worst surface, and he looks vulnerable heading into this match against such a tough opponent. Tabilo as the outsider is tempting given the circumstances, he is playing well enough to expose the American’s vulnerabilities on this surface.

Recommended Selections:

Alejandro Tabilo ML – 1.5 units @ +142

Embed from Getty Images

WTA Bogota R2: (1) Camila Osorio vs. (Q) İpek Öz

WTA Bogota R2: (2) Beatriz Haddad Maia vs. Kamilla Rakhimova

Expect the top seeds in Bogota to get the job done without much fuss. Camila Osorio is the defending champion in Bogota, highly motivated to do well in front of her home crowd and clearly a class above İpek Öz in all aspects. Haddad Maia easily defeated Rakhimova in their only previous meeting, a 6-1 6-3 victory on the hard courts of Doha earlier this year. Clay is an even more favourable surface for Haddad Maia in this matchup, so there’s little reason to think she won’t emerge victorious on this occasion if she was able to beat Rakhimova so comfortably on a hard court.

Recommended Selections:

Camila Osorio ML + Beatriz Haddad Maia ML – 2 units @ -132

Recommended selections are based on a 5-unit betting system where 1 unit is a minimum stake, and 5 units is the maximum stake.

This article is intended for entertainment purposes only.
