It&#8217;s the World #46 vs the World #47 and they&#8217;ve never faced before. However, Putintseva seems to be stagnant while Anisimova is young and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/tennis\/2022\/01\/21\/amanda-anisimova-career-victory-naomi-osaka\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">up-and-coming<\/a> and seems to have far more upside. She hasn&#8217;t been playing very well lately, but she had a great campaign in Australia, only losing to eventual champion and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/tennis\/2022\/04\/02\/what-is-ashleigh-bartys-legacy\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">now-retired Ash Barty<\/a>. A title in Monterrey has been the highlight of an otherwise disappointing season so far.
