The Austrian is a solid player and it looks like he&#8217;s not feeling very confident so far. He takes on <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/tennis\/2019\/02\/26\/radu-albot-itf-changes\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Radu Albot<\/a>, who reached the third round in Melbourne and is looking in decent touch to get past Novak. Both Frenchmen are playing as wildcards with the draw gods seeing it fit to let them battle in the first round itself. <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/tennis\/2021\/03\/23\/2021-is-the-end-for-monfils-gasquet-and-the-old-french-guard\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is definitely past his peak<\/a> and so his Gilles Simon but neither have lost their fighting spirit. Both reached the Round of 16 in Montpellier and while Simon is certainly more consistent, I fear his game style is not well suited for his age.
